Art From a Artist building in number My perception of Art As a young artist I enjoy to use new medium as and intertwine styles between your art. I recently went on a trip to China this past summer and studied a selection of their art as well as their culture. China was a intense place to see art since there is so much discipline that the artist have towards their work, But the sad thing is they really had no freedom to explore ideas and imagination because they pretty much stuck to what they know and see. At the Xian academy of fine arts the students were all doing the same and there wasn much of a difference that separated the artists work. It was amazing because they were all copying masters work and they exactly the same. It is so funny because from my experience in my art studio classes you can at least 3 students work that stands out and they are all different styles, In comparison in China they are are indifferent down to the brush stroke. Usually, One of my days in China I was sitting against a wall drawing out a building and doodling things in my sketch book. There were some Chinese Art students who stopped to watch me for some time after then they asked to see my sketch book and they were looking at my graffiti to figurative drawings and sketches of buildings and were amazed to the multi types of art that I was doing. They told me something in the regard to they wish that they may be as good as me and that they wish they could do things like I could. I was amazed because there sketch books had great waste work that put mine to shame, But they just I guess don have the liberty that Americans do. They have to stick to one thing occurring it, It is just how they are raised and can bypass the instilled way of their culture and government. Being an artist you will find mediums that you may use and one of mine is aerosol art which in other words is graffiti art. Graffiti art isn seen as a form of art through lots of eyes, But from my perspective it is a growing form of art in lots of ways. I enjoy painting what is abstract art with aerosol paint since there is no limits in size and the paint is always forgivable A other reason that I enjoy using this medium is the result of peoples reaction when they see the piece of art. The are either wowed or they hate since it was done by a can. I just will change peoples opinions towards this growing form of art. This mural was over in Ojo Caliente, And was commissioned by a local wood carver named Pat Woodall. This Piece ended by Thomas Vigil, Isaac Ortiz and my own Brandon Rael. Pat gave us a image of Diego Riveras Monumental Stairway in Mexico National Palace and wanted one of the imagery as well as certain aspects form it. We painted it assisting his gallery. Over all for one of our fist actual figurative murals it came out thriving. We were just happy to be able to showcase what we are capable of as well as what aerosol paint can make. In the town of Cordova there was once a wall that had tagging on it with many obscene things such as a needle visiting a penis and it was there since I could last remember as a young boy. Issac Ortiz, Thomas Vigil and I one day asked who owns the wall for permission to paint on it to give it new life. Sammi Medina who owned the house and property which that wall is on gave us permission to paint on it. We painted on the wall for many occasion such as holidays and other times that we wanted to see something more challenging. Since high school we haven painted on the wall too much because we are all busy in college and it is hard to make time to do it as much as we wish. Right now the wall has a mural of El Santuario de Chimayo that we painted for Holy week a couple years ago as well a sympathy piece to the Families who have lost themselves.
